Verte Chaud which translates to “Hot Green” has been around for as long as Chartreuse and hot chocolate has been around. Nobody knows the exact history. This is a more modern version is adapted directly from Bartender Jamie Boudreau. They call this an Apres Ski cocktail as it’s the perfect warm-up after being exposed to the elements.
Instructions
- Put the pan in a stove top and put it in a medium heat
- Add 3 cups of Whole milk into a pan
- Add the semi-sweet chocolate and whisk
- Add the brown sugar then a pinch of salt
- In a glass, add the Green Chartreuse
- Then add the hot chocolate
- Top with whipped cream
- Drink and Enjoy!
