The Star is a Manhattan Variation of sorts, employing a 50/50 ratio and apple brandy. It is almost if not as good as it’s more famous counterpart and absolutely worth a sip….or two…or three! The cocktail was purported to have been created by a bartender at the famed Manhattan Club in NYC around 1870 and was subsequently published by Harry Craddock in the Savoy Cocktail Book in 1930.
