When I was graduating college in 1990 Campari made a huge national effort with TV ads and umbrellas at every bar patio to promote Campari. I tried it with soda and just wasn’t there yet. Fast forward a trip to Italy and Campari with different fruit juices sold me. I was hooked. So I wanted to create a ‘gateway’ cocktail for my friends to enjoy Campari but yet acquired a palatte for bitters. I use grapefruit as a compliment because I don’t like grapefruit (..and I don’t like IPAs but a grapefruit IPA tastes great to me) Hoping you can help me with this. As a take on a Negroni I’ve substituted vodka, gin and even infused vodkas. How would you create a Campari gateway cocktail?
Instructions
- Pour Campari, Vodka into rocks glass
