When thinking about how i wanted to approach this, I started with the base and what I haven’t seen used yet. Ever since I created my Rosh Hashanah cocktail from earlier this year I’ve been associating applejack with honey, and I also associate yellow chartreuse with honey. I thought about using Drambuie instead of maraschino but I had a feeling the honey flavors would take over and it would be too sweet. I have honestly never been as proud of a cocktail than I am with this one. To me, this represents exactly what a Last Word should be. It’s tart, dry, and you can taste every ingredient. Super well-balanced and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I think I may have found my signature drink! Seems only fitting since I run a chartreuse cocktail Instagram account (@50shadesofchartreuse).
