When I made this drink my mind instantly somehow conjured up the image Canadian comedians Ron James and Colin Mochrie in colonial Nova Scotia. Well that was Blackfly, but I misappropriated the name as the Rowan Atkinson comedy into east coast Canadiana. Unfortunately by the time I realized it, I ended up liking Black Adder better.
The Black Adder
Ingredients
- 5 dashes Angostura Bitters
- ¾ oz simple syrup
- ¾ oz cherry liqeur
- 1⁄4 sambuca luxardo passione nera
- 1 oz Myer’s dark Jamaican rum Planter’s Punch
Instructions
- Build in a rocks glass with a nice cube of ice.
- Garnish with an orange twist.
