The 50/50 is also known as an early dry martini and was first published in Frank Newman’s American Bar in 1904. It was popularized by the Pegu Club in New York City. Today we made the more modern version.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Gin
- 1 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
- 1 dash Feegans Orange Bitters mix of Fees and Reagans
Garnish
Instructions
- Add all ingredients in a mixing glass.
- Add big ice first and add smaller ice.
- Stir for approximately 30 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, Nick and Nora or Coupe.
- Garnish with a lemon disc.
- Enjoy!
