Inspired by Roe and Co. for St Patrick’s day. It’s a whiskey sour with a twist. Kevin McLaughlin uses fresh orange, lemon, and egg white with blue curaçao to achieve the green and then garnish with an orange peel and sprinkles for the proverbial pot o’gold (sugar here but orange zest is an option).
Ingredients
- 2 oz Whiskey Roe&Co Irish whiskey
- ½ oz Orange Liqueur blue curaçao
- ¼ oz Cocchi Americano
- ½ oz Orange Juice fresh squeezed
- ¼ oz Lemon Juice fresh
- ¼ Ginger Simple Syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 Egg White

Instructions
In a shaker add all ingredients.
- Add bar spoon of cracked ice (basically one small piece).
- Dry shake vigorously to create a foam.
- When the ice is gone its likely done ~45s. Watch the foam formation.
- Add a few cubes and shake to chill and dilute for 15ish seconds.
- Strain into the coupe glass.
- Garnish with orange peel expressed and added vertically or with a pick
- Express lemon peel and rub around the rim, then dispose after.
- Sprinkle gold sugar or orange zest in the pot and spilling over.
- Enjoy!
