One evening while making drinks for Ryan Bryson and his wife, his kids asked for a special mocktail. They didn’t ask for anything specific so he used the new ingredients he had just purchased for other drinks he was planning on trying, specifically blackberries and raspberry syrup. He mixed them with some lime juice, agave syrup, and ginger ale. After taking his first sip his 10-year-old son said, “This should be called a Sour Sunset!” It was such a great name that Ryan Bryson wanted to make a cocktail with that name. After trying a few different recipes that mostly worked but still wasn’t where he wanted it to be he decided to start over with the classic daquiri specs and went from there. He is rather proud of the final mix.
