In this episode we make a Puritan cocktail which is a mashup of two of Leandro’s favorite cocktails and invent a new character for the show.
I tried doing a deep dive on this drink to try and get some history on it, as it is indeed a classic but all I could find was this: “An often overlooked classic which was thought to have been invented at the end of the nineteenth century.” So there you have it, it is actually a mashup of a traditional Martini and an Alaska Cocktail (if you wanna see either there’s a link in the video) and it is one of my favorites. It makes very good use of Yellow Chartreuse which plays well with the other ingredients and doesn’t dominate at all, surprisingly. Alrighty you guys hope you enjoy it!
