Truth be told this isn’t the original Piña Colada, this is a much more simplified version made at The Varnish in Downtown Los Angeles and it is not only very tasty, but also super easy to make! No Blender Necessary!
The Piña Colada was created by Ramon “Monchito” Perez at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan Puerto Rico on August 15th 1954. As the drink’s popularity grew, other San Juan bartenders claimed that they in fact created the drink and of course hijinx ensued. As per usual! Hope you guys had a happy Piña Colada Day back in July and hope you guys make and enjoy this one!
