A very satisfying Manhattan By Jim Meehan of New York‘s PDT (Please Don’t Tell)
This drink was created by Jim Meehan and John Deragon for the Fall 2007 menu at PDT. Meehan said he was inspired by all the Manhattan Variations popular at the time which were named for various neighborhoods in NYC, but that most of the neighborhoods had already been made into cocktails. So he looked to New Jersey and it’s most famous Spirit (Applejack) to throw his own hat in the ring of Manhattan variations. What he came up with, along with partner John Deragon is this wonderful and satisfying drink. I hope you all like it.
