Inspired by the “Bourbon Renewal” recipe, Kyle Tarvin experimented with creating his own cocktail. He named his creation the “Forbidden Fruit” due to the black currant origins of crème de cassis, a fruit once banned in certain regions. While rooted in the classic gin sour structure, he has refined the recipe into a personal favorite. He expresses gratitude for the channel’s influence in sparking their interest in mixology.
