Our dear reader, Carter Allen, was inspired by the “Fernet Me Not No.2” (Diffords) for this cocktail. He wanted to incorporate pineapple in place of the lime juice by acid adjusting. The aged rum adds some booziness and foundation while still allowing the Fernet Branca to shine. He also toned down the orgeat a bit to avoid an over-sweet experience.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Fernet Branca
- 1/2 Aged Rum Plantation 5 year
- 3/4 oz Orgeat
- 1 oz Acid Adjusted Pineapple Juice
Garnish
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a shaker.
- Add plenty of ice.
- Shake for 15-20 seconds until chilled.
- Dirty pour into a snifter or highball, or other glass of choice.
- Garnish.
- Enjoy!
