This drink was created by Donn The Beachcomber and was on the original menu at his namesake restaurant and bar in Hollywood around 1937. As you have undoubtedly heard me say, Donn Beach was notorious for finding recipes on his travels and adapting them into his own thing. So following that logic, this recipe is an adapted one that I took liberties with. This drink is Donn’s Own Planter’s Punch variation a drink which originated in the West Indies and can be traced back to around 1878. Literally dozens of recipes exist for this drink, and this is one of them that is worth your time. Go mix it!
