Created by Joerg Meyer at El Leon in Hamburg Germany. It was on a trip to New York when Mr. Meyer experienced Dale Degroff’s Whiskey Smash that he came up with this very satisfying riff. Playing the Basil off the botanicals in the gin.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a tin.
  2. Lightly muddle basil.
  3. Shake 8-10 Seconds.
  4. Strain into a Rocks Glass.
  5. Garnish with a basil sprig.
  6. Enjoy!
