A delightful coffee twist on the Jungle Bird
Ingredients
- .75 oz Campari
- .75 oz Gold Jamaica Rum
- .75 oz Coffee Liqueur
- 1.5 oz Pineapple Juice
- .75 oz Lime Juice
- .25 oz Rich Simple Syrup
Garnish
Instructions
- Add ingredients to tin
- Add ice and shake for 10 seconds
- Strain into glass with large rock of ice
- Garnish with Orange Slice
Tried this tonight and it was surprisingly good! I did sub the Mr Black with Trader Vic’s Kona Coffee Liquor, I reduced the simple slightly to account for the sweeter coffee liquor.
Complex and well balanced, while still able to recognize all the elements. Using a double demarar gomme syrup was the only variation from the recipe. Only did because that’s what was in refrigerator.
Perfectly balanced cocktail with deep complexity. The flavor combination however just wasn’t it for me.
