Tom McCafferty, a beloved reader from Georgetown, Texas USA, was looking for a bitter cocktail using Campari, Elderflower Liqueur and Averna Amaro. Couldn’t find anything exactly, so he made up one of his own. He thinks it is well-balanced and just bitter enough. He jokingly named it after his self, Bitter Old Man.

Ingredients

 

OZML

• 1 1/2 oz London Dry Gin
• 1 oz Elderflower Liqueur
• 1 oz Campari
• 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
• 1/2 oz Averna Amaro
• 3 Dashes Orange Bitters Reagan's Orange Bitters

Instructions

 

• Add ingredients into a mixing glass and stir with ice.
• Double strain into a chilled Nick and Nora Glass
• Enjoy
