My name is Craig and I’m from New Hampshire. I became interested in making cocktails at home about 4 years ago. I really enjoy making drinks for my friends and family. I have never worked in a bar, but I do love sitting at a bar and watching the bartenders apply their craft. I feel like I’ve learned a lot just watching bartenders work. In addition, I watch your videos (sometimes repeatedly) to learn the classics, try out new recipes and acquire new skills….and hear a story or two. I am also an amateur musician, so all of my cocktails have names with a musical “hook.”

BITTER FINGERS (Elton John, from Captain Fantastic, 1975) The idea was to create a cocktail to showcase an Italian Amaro.

Ingredients

 

OZML

• 1 1/2 oz Zucca Rabarbaro
• 1 oz Orgeat
• 1/2 oz Rye Whiskey (High Proof may be used)
• 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
• 3/4 oz Pineapple Juice
• 5 Dashes Angostura Bitters (Double with Japanese Dasher Bottle)

Garnish

• Lemon Twist
• Maraschino Cherry

Instructions

 

• Add ingredients to tin
• Add Ice and shake for 8-10 second
• Fine Strain into rocks glass with Large Ice Cube
• Garnish with Lemon Twist and Maraschino Cherry
