Angel’s Envy is welcoming a new cask strength bottle to join their annual cask strength bourbon release. The new Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Rye is a blend of two rye whiskeys, one finished in Sauterne casks and the other in toasted oak. This rye will be bottled at 114.4 proof and limited to just 5,500 bottles. Suggested retail price is $269.99.
Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bourbon is also on its way. This 118.2-proof whiskey is finished in port wine barrels, giving it deep notes of cherry and dried fruit. This 12th annual Cask Strength whiskey will be limited to 22,656 bottles at a suggested retail price of $229.99. Both bottles will be the first to display a new, elevated bottle design.
Here’s what Angel’s Envy Master Distiller Owen Martin has to say about the release of the cask strength expressions. “It was thrilling to kick off my journey with the best-in-class team at the distillery on the 12th Annual Cask Strength Bourbon and the first-ever limited-edition Cask Strength Rye Whiskey. With my deep background in maturing, blending, and finishing whiskey, I’ve been able to share a unique perspective on the ANGEL’S ENVY’S award-winning Cask Strength program, and am looking forward to this next chapter with the brand.”
Beginning on December 1, 2023, both expressions will be available at select retailers across the U.S., including the ANGEL’S ENVY distillery in downtown Louisville.
