Finally, a bartender has made an Amaretto sour into a crave-worthy drink. Before Jeffrey Morgenthaler created this expression most people had a love-hate relationship with The Amaretto Sour.
On the one hand, you want to love it, on the other, it’s cloyingly sweet and off-balance. Thankfully those days are over!
Amaretto Sour
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Amaretto
- 3/4 oz Bourbon Booker’s Bourbon
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Simple Syrup 2:1
- Egg White
Garnish
Instructions
- In a cocktail in, add all ingredients.
- Dry Shake.
- Add a large chunk of ice in a chilled smaller rock glass.
- Garnish.
- Enjoy!
