While Nick Blackstone‘s area in Louisiana should not be too heavily impacted, after facing a Category 4 Hurricane, he decided I’d do a bit of a riff. This drink added some syrups and ingredients that he do not normally use a ton – but, when the power goes out are his first options in order to save them from spoiling.
Empty the Fridge
Ingredients
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- 1⁄4 oz Cinnamon Syrup
- 1⁄4 oz Velvet Falernum
- 1⁄4 oz Fassionola syrup Cocktail and Son's or passionfruit syrup if necessary
- 1⁄4 oz Allspice Syrup
- 2 oz Demerara Rum El Derado 5 year
Garnish
- Umbrella Hurricane style
- Cherry optional
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a shaker.
- Fill with pebble ice.
- Shake.
- Pour unstrained into glass.
- Fill with pebble ice.
- Garnish.
- Enjoy!
